Comments: Rode with Pete, Nate, Josh, and Sean. We were going to take day off but after doing lunch we couldn't resist. We rode at Hell's Roar. First Pete and I hiked into the backcountry and did Pillow Top Drop. I was so f*ckin scared. Then we made a run/terrain park at the condo. The run was 60 vertical feet. Thanks CJ and Glen for shuttling us back up! We named the resort Hell's Roar Big Mountain Resort and the two runs were Pillow Top Drop and Keebler Terrain Park (I don't like that name but it was a group decision). When you did the jumps you had to make sure and carry a lot of thspeed (head bob to the right). Hells Roar hosted the first ever BFGSC King of the Hill Invitational. 1st- Roley 2nd-Josh 3rd-Nate 4th-Pete 5th-Matt. I got last but I was very proud to be one of the only 5 riders in the world to be invited to such a prestigious event.
Roley: I'd like to thank Jesus Christ (my homey) and God and Moses and Alla and Mohamed and especially Budha. I now will graciously retire as champion, never defeated in professional competition.
Pete: Pillow Top Drop (PTD) my heart was beating as fast as it was 17 hours earlier when fighting Matt...now we are staring down at PTD...and I'm scared. I gotta assume Matt is also feeling the heat. We'd hiked up a trail of chest deep snow some animal had made some time ago. The mountain air is thin. So with a racing heart I dropped in...in...Pillow Top Drop. I think Matt and I had an adrenaline rush for the next 1/2 hour. We used the energy to build a snow board park. Two jumps and a 3rd feature. Killer...fun to get these guys jumping!!
Nate: Wow! Who would have thought I would take 3rd in the Invitational. I am proud of it and maybe it will give me more confidence on the hill tomorrow.
